ABA Therapy: one-on-one support built on evidence, not guesswork
Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA, is the most researched therapy approach for children on the autism spectrum. At Elite Services Center Inc, it’s delivered one-on-one by trained therapists working from your child’s Individual Treatment Program.
What is ABA therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis is a structured, evidence-based approach that breaks larger skills — like initiating conversation, following multi-step instructions, or managing frustration — down into smaller, teachable steps. Progress is reinforced consistently and measured with real data, which is why ABA remains one of the most studied and widely recommended interventions for children with autism spectrum disorder.
How sessions are structured
Each ABA session at Elite Services Center Inc is delivered one-on-one between your child and a trained therapist, working under the supervision of a credentialed clinician. Sessions typically combine structured teaching — sometimes called discrete trial training — with natural environment teaching, where skills are practiced during play and everyday routines rather than only at a table.
Skills our ABA program targets
Parent training as part of ABA
ABA works best when strategies used in session carry over into daily life. That’s why our ABA program includes regular parent training, where caregivers learn the same reinforcement and communication techniques therapists use, so progress made in a session doesn’t stay confined to that session.
How progress is measured
Every ABA session includes data collection tied directly to the goals in your child’s Individual Treatment Program. Rather than relying on general impressions, our team reviews this data regularly with families, showing exactly which goals are being met and where a plan needs to be adjusted.
Getting started with ABA therapy
ABA therapy begins once your child’s CMDE and Individual Treatment Program are in place. From there, we match your child with a therapist and build a weekly schedule that fits both the recommended hours in their plan and your family’s availability, whether that’s in-center sessions, in-home sessions, or a mix of both.
Common questions about ABA therapy
How many hours of ABA will my child need? Recommended hours depend on the goals identified in your child’s evaluation and typically range from a few hours a week to a more intensive schedule for children with more significant support needs.
Will the same therapist work with my child each session? We prioritize consistency wherever possible, since children on the spectrum often make faster progress with familiar therapists, though occasional schedule changes may require a substitute clinician.
Clinical oversight behind every session
While your child’s day-to-day therapist delivers the hands-on session, every ABA program at Elite Services Center Inc is designed and supervised by a credentialed clinician who reviews data regularly and adjusts strategies as needed. That layer of oversight means therapy decisions are never made by a single therapist working in isolation.
