Individual Treatment Programs built around your child’s goals
An Individual Treatment Program (ITP) is where evaluation turns into action — a specific, written plan that guides every therapy session your child receives at Elite Services Center Inc.
What is an Individual Treatment Program?
Once your child’s CMDE is complete, our clinical team translates the findings into an Individual Treatment Program, or ITP. This document lays out specific, measurable goals across the areas your child needs support — communication, social skills, behavior, daily living tasks, or a combination — along with the therapy types and weekly hours recommended to reach them.
Unlike a generic therapy schedule, an ITP is unique to your child. Two children with similar diagnoses can end up with very different plans, because the goals are built from their specific evaluation results and family priorities, not a standard template.
How goals are set and tracked
Every goal in an ITP is written to be specific and measurable — not “improve communication” in the abstract, but a defined target like increasing spontaneous requests using words or an AAC device across settings. Our therapists collect session-by-session data on progress toward each goal, which lets us show families concrete evidence of what’s working, rather than a general sense that things seem better.
What’s typically included in a plan
Family involvement in the plan
Parents and caregivers aren’t handed a finished plan; you’re part of building it. Before any ITP is finalized, our clinical team reviews the recommended goals with your family, explains the reasoning behind each one, and adjusts priorities based on what matters most to you at home.
Reviewing and updating your child’s plan
Children’s needs change as they grow and make progress, so ITPs are not static documents. Our team reviews each plan on a regular schedule, updating goals as earlier ones are met and new priorities emerge — always in coordination with the coordinated care conferences your family attends.
Getting started with an ITP
An Individual Treatment Program is built directly from your child’s CMDE, so the first step is always completing or transferring that evaluation. Once the CMDE results are in hand, our clinical team typically schedules a planning meeting with your family within a short window to review recommended goals and finalize the plan before therapy sessions begin.
Common questions about treatment programs
Can we request changes to the goals in our child’s plan? Yes. While our clinicians bring clinical recommendations based on the CMDE, your family’s priorities are part of every planning conversation, and goals can be adjusted as your child’s needs and your family’s circumstances change.
How many hours of therapy will our child’s plan include? Recommended weekly hours vary by child and are based on the severity of needs identified in the CMDE, not a fixed number applied to every family.
A plan that evolves with your child
Many families worry that once a treatment plan is set, it locks their child into a fixed path regardless of how things actually go. That’s not how we operate. Because we track data on every goal, we can see quickly when something is working faster than expected, or when a different approach is needed, and adjust the plan accordingly rather than waiting for a scheduled review to make a change.
